Week 3
Lecture & Recitation:
During this time Maddie went to the innovation studio to cut open the cement cases. She used a box cutter and a table clamp. Meanwhile Cynthia, Preetham, and Sean worked on the design of the boat. We came up with a trapezoidal prism as a draft design. The group also began to think of potential mold solutions given the shape of the draft design.
Lab:
During week three lab, group 7 tested their three different samples and recorded the data. It seems that the samples could've performed the compression test better if they where being mixed while they dried. The samples had some cracks because the lighter material floated to the top of the mixture.
